Task Bar Hero tier list and the best characters to choose
Here are the best heroes you can choose in Task Bar Hero
This Task Bar Hero tier list will help you understand how each character in the small adventuring band stacks up. With only four free characters to choose from, your options are quite limited if don't want to spend any money on Task Bar Hero, but that's fine as these four plucky adventurers are all you really need. So, here's how I'd rank all four free characters in Task Bar Hero, laid out in tier list form.
Task Bar Hero tier list
- S-tier:
- Priest: Versatile and definitely a bit overpowered. The Priest can output great damage on the frontline and support the rest of the team with healing and damage buffs. She is essential to any formation. Note that the Priest is a free DLC character, so you will need to download her separately from the Task Bar Hero's Steam page.
- A-tier:
- Ranger: The Ranger has a high attack speed, can hit multiple enemies with some of her skills, and deals good damage from a distance overall, but her low health is a major downside.
- B-tier:
- Sorcerer: Like the Ranger, the Sorcerer can deal great ranged damage thanks to their area-of-effect skills. However, their slow and relatively weak basic attack isn’t great, and their low health means a protector is vital.
- C-tier:
- Knight: A simple melee fighter who is good at first but proves to be a bit of a liability as the enemies get tougher. Early on, the Knight is a good starting choice and can take a lot of hits and deal solid damage in return but good gear and healing from the Priest quickly prove to be essential.
In case it wasn't clear, you should download the free Priest DLC immediately as she is by far the best character in all of Task Bar Hero. The Knight is arguably a bit better to start with, but once you have multiple hero slots, for your team formation, the Priest should be a permanent fixture.
Otherwise, there aren't really any bad choices when it comes to your formation once you have her on your side. I personally like having the Priest at the front followed by the Ranger and Sorcerer, with the Priest protecting and damage-boosting the other two as they spam their ranged attacks, but I've laid out some more tips on Task Bar Hero builds here. With the Priest and co. earning you plenty of Gold, you also need to spending in on the best Task Bar Hero Rune upgrades too.
