Secret of the Ancient Ruins puzzle solution in Crimson Desert
The Crimson Desert Reunion quest has a puzzle in the Ancient Ruins that requires Focus
The puzzle to unravel the secret of the ancient ruins in Crimson Desert is part of the Reunion quest, a confusing puzzle unlocked right after you get the Nature's Grasp and Focus abilities. Oddly enough, the former doesn't really enter into this beyond opening the door that reveals it. If you're stuck here, I can explain how to solve the ancient ruins puzzle, and what you'll get for doing so.
How to Unravel the Secret of the Ancient Ruins in Crimson Desert
When you enter the Ancient Ruins in the Reunion quest you'll be taught the Focus skill from a memory. This will allow you to enter a state where you regenerate Spirit, which you can then use for your Force Palm and other abilities. After this, you'll see three stone discs on the wall with a line of energy through each one.
To solve the Ancient Ruins puzzle you'll need to hit the discs with Force Palm in this order:
- Middle
- Right
- Left
The solution needs you to have all three discs pressed into the wall at once. However, when you Force Palm one of them, it inverts the position of any disc next to it.
So, if you push the middle one in, the ones on either side change to the opposite of their current state is - so pop out if they're in, and go in if they're out. You need to get them all pressed into the wall at once, which will connect the line of energy and complete the circuit. This mechanic comes up in a lot of Crimson Desert puzzles, so don't forget it!
Completing this puzzle and the Reunion quest unlocks an Abyss Creset for you outside. These Cresets give you Artifacts, you can use to buy Crimson Desert skills, and can also be used to fast travel in Crimson Desert.
