Check out the stunning Victorian-inspired world of Silver Palace, a brand new ARPG built in Unreal Engine 5
Pre-registration is open now
Silver Palace is a fantastical new ARPG set in the Victorian-inspired metropolis Silvernia, featuring stunning anime-esque visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5 and fast-paced, fluid combat.
The upcoming game places players in the shoes of a detective tasked with uncovering the truth and fighting crime as corporate monopolies, underground syndicates, and royal officials alike fight for control over Silverium, the revolutionary element behind Silvernia's impressive industrialization. Silverium is no ordinary metal, after all, responsible for pushing technology past its limits and building Silvernia into the steampunk-like haven it is.
As the detective, players will partner up with a diverse cast of characters to fight mysterious forces and unravel Silvernia's secrets. With so many formidable foes to overcome while hunting for clues, combat is just as central to Silver Palace as its mysteries. Players can swap between characters freely while taking on enemies, employ powerful skills, unleash chain quick-time event combos, and more – but that's not all.
Exploration is also core to the new ARPG's gameplay, with all sorts of unique ways players can traverse Silvernia. From grappling hooks to mech-like mounts gliding over the rooftops of the bustling city, there's no shortage of both efficient and immersive methods of getting around. While exploring, players might gather information or observe their surroundings, potentially even uncovering enemies in disguise.
Silver Palace almost feels like a mash-up of my favorite games' features, like L.A. Noire's detective-focused gameplay and Metaphor: ReFantazio's vibrant anime-inspired visuals, albeit with new innovative features that make it stand out. For anyone like me who can't wait to get their hands on the gorgeous ARPG, follow the developers on X and pre-register interest via the official website.
Here are some of the other most exciting new games this year and beyond to keep an eye on.

After spending years with her head in various fantastical realms' clouds, Anna studied English Literature and then Medieval History at the University of Edinburgh, going on to specialize in narrative design and video game journalism as a writer. She has written for various publications since her postgraduate studies, including Dexerto, Fanbyte, GameSpot, IGN, PCGamesN, and more. When she's not frantically trying to form words into coherent sentences, she's probably daydreaming about becoming a fairy druid and befriending every animal or she's spending a thousand (more) hours traversing the Underdark in Baldur's Gate 3. If you spot her away from her PC, you'll always find Anna with a fantasy book, a handheld video game console of some sort, and a Tamagotchi or two on hand.
