Massive 007: First Light spoilers and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake details are just the start of a huge leak from an Indonesian ratings board

An Indonesian games rating board is reportedly responsible for a massive leak affecting many an unreleased game, including 007: First Light and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced.

As VGC reports, the leaks stem from the Indonesian Game Rating System, which made a massive whoopsie this week and accidentally caused spoilery details from several upcoming games to spill across the internet due to a security flaw.

The most notable of which is IO Interactive's 007: First Light, as more than an hour of footage from the new James Bond game is purportedly being passed around online, so be warned if you're planning on picking it up in six weeks or so. 007: First Light's official release date is May 27 for PC, PS5 and Xbox with a Switch 2 launch coming sometime later this year.

The Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, a new 2D Metroidvania in the once-dormant series, are also said to be included in the ratings board leak. Ubisoft and Konami can let out a sigh of relief, at least, that no concrete footage seems to be going around online for either.

Ubisoft's remade pirate adventure was perhaps the worst-kept secret in gaming until the publisher finally acknowledged that, yep, the best Assassin's Creed game was in fact getting the remake treatment. We haven't heard or seen much since then, however.

And Bandai Namco's action-RPG Echoes of Aincrad appears to be another victim of the leaks. Less than three months out from the fantasy game's July release date, cutscenes and major story moments are already out in the wild. Tread carefully out there if you're looking forward to this one, then.

As is the case with sweeping leakages such as this, some leaks might not surface for a while more. Others may have been scrubbed entirely clean off the internet before anybody got the chance to notice.

GoldenEye 007 is "a fantastic game," but 007 First Light dev says IO Interactive's title has "a far wider and more expansive offering and gameplay experience."
