Those of us who enjoy populating our desks with memorabilia from videogames were excited to hear that toy company NECA, known for their fantastic Gears of War, Assassin's Creed, Dead Space, and BioShock figures, had picked up the rights to make figures based on Valve's properties. All of them. That means Dota, Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead, and Team Fortress figures were all in the cards, but beyond that, we didn't know much. Now, after a few months of hints and teases, we finally have a look at what NECA has been working on. Below is the first full, finished figure of the Boomer from Left 4 Dead, and it looks awesome as all get out.
If you want to see some more shots of the figure from earlier stages (and get a sneak peek at the Smoker's sculpt, which looks equally awesome), you can swing over to NECA's website. Some of the Valve figures are set to hit shelves in 2012, so be sure to stay tuned for more news of more figures, props, and whatever else NECA dreams up. Talking Portal 2 turrets, maybe? Dog figure? Working Portal gun? Alright, maybe that goes too far. But pleeeeeeease?
