Faraway creator Steph Thirion released a minimal teaser yesterday for his interstellar constellation-forming game. And tucked away at the end of it is an announcement that Faraway will be out for iOS this fall. You can decide for yourself if you're excited by checking it out below.
If you're looking for a bit more concrete gameplay info on Faraway, the game is about a tiny shooting star determined to utilize orbital gravity to streak its way across the universe. Like the trailer, playfaraway.com is bereft of much nonessential information, so there's not much else to be said. The site does mention, however, that Faraway was an IndieCade finalist and a Gamma 4 selection for its “one button games”–themed showcase in 2010. Plus, the simplistic single-page website look is just sort of cool.
By the way, the entire teaser was generated with code — not a video editor, and though it doesn't seem to contain any gameplay footage, it manages to tease our sense of adventure enough to interest us. What does it make you think?
