Aside from the Cursed Child stage production, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is the first proper return to the Potterverse since the last movie dropped in 2011. Expectations are high. The first teaser delivered a snippet of goodies for Potterphiles eager to see a new arena of JK Rowling's fantasy world on the big screen. This new spot of footage reveals a tad more info on Newt Scamander's journey to 1920s New York, and just what he's got locked in that magical case...
Rowling and star Eddie Redmayne offer up a few new pieces of intel on Scamander's adventure and how his personality quirks factor into his stint abroad. But, the best part is getting to see some of the characters in that case.
That adorable little Niffler returns, along with another familiar face from the previous movies; a Bowtruckle. One of those cheeky tree-dwellers is holed up inside Scamander's bag of creatures, who are seemingly let loose on New York City at a time when tension between wizards and No-Majs is mounting. Now the question is, when we will get a full-length trailer to really clue us into Newt's trip overseas?
Directed by David Yates and starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Ron Perlman, and Ezra Miller, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled to hit UK and US cinemas on November 18, 2016.
