Gen V's Marie Moreau is coming for Homelander in the first teaser for The Boys season 5 episode 7
Butcher, Starlight, and co are pulling out all their stops to take down Homelander in the first teaser for The Boys season 5 episode 7 – and that includes pulling Gen V's Marie Moreau and Jordan Li into the fight.
After last week's episode saw Antony Starr's breast milk-guzzling baddie inject himself with V1, thanks to the help of his morally confused dad Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), Hughie's not feeling too optimistic in the Avengers: Endgame-esque promo (via Discussing Film).
"It's over. We lost," the character, played by Jack Quaid, cries. "We ain't done yet, even if I have to drag your broken f***ing carcasses over the finish line," replies a reliably sentimental Butcher (Karl Urban), as the footage shows off glimpses at Dogknott, Deep, and new cat-loving Supe Sheline.
"In this new world, there is no room for heresy," Oh-Father (Daveed Diggs) shouts in another scene, which is enough to send shivers down anyone's spine now that Homelander has seemingly got the keys to the Oval Office.
"We are going all the way," Butcher continues via voiceover, as we're treated to blink-and-you'll-miss-them shots of the Godolkin kids. It's hard to decipher what they'll actually get up to in the episode from the trailer, but given bloodbender Marie's history, they'll likely play a key part in The Boys' last stand.
Back in Gen V season 2, former Vought CEO Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) revealed that there were only two known survivors of Godolkin's super-Supe Odessa experiments; Homelander and Marie, suggesting the pair are on quite the collision course.
