When does Spider-Man: Brand New Day take place on the Marvel timeline? *SPOILERS*
In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter keeps up with Ned and MJ as they enter MIT as freshmen. After a quick fast-forward, we learn that four years have gone by, and Ned and MJ have officially graduated. Because Spider-Man: No Way Home takes place in 2024, this means Brand New Day takes place in 2028. This also puts it the furthest ahead on the MCU timeline.
The movie heavily features Frank Castle, who decided to become the Punisher once again after the events of the Disney Plus special Punisher: One Last Kill. Weirdly, the events of Punisher: One Last Kill take place "before and during" Daredevil: Born Again season 2, but Spider-Man: Brand New Day technically comes after One Last Kill. Brand New Day is also the last Marvel movie before Avengers: Doomsday, which hits theaters in December. We don't know if there will be another time jump before Doomsday, or if Spidey or the Hulk will make an appearance, but that would put us at late 2028 or even early 2029. This is because there are autumn leaves towards the end of Brand New Day, as Jean takes a bus through Upstate New York.
And in case you're wondering: yes, the "8 Years Later" time card at the beginning of Spider-Man: Homecoming is indeed incorrect. Homecoming takes place in 2016, just two months after the events of Captain America: Civil War, not sometime randomly in 2020.
