After a surprisingly long break, One Piece is back with the Elbaph Arc, which sees Luffy and the Straw Hats embarking on a journey to the fabled land of the giants.
We're somehow over 1150 episodes in, however, and the small matter of trying to figure out when new One Piece episodes are dropping hasn't gotten any easier. In fact, it's complicated more by Netflix and Crunchyroll holding the streaming rights, depending on where you're watching from.

One Piece episode 1156 release date: what time is the Elbaph Arc premiering on Crunchyroll and Netflix?
One Piece episode 1156 premieres on Crunchyroll on April 5, 2026 at 7:15 AM Pacific/10:15 AM Eastern. That's 3:15 PM BST in the UK.
The Elbaph Arc premiere will also be available on Netflix a week later in some regions, from April 11, 2026.
One Piece Elbaph Arc release schedule: when are new episodes out?
New One Piece episodes will release every Sunday on Crunchyroll, then the following Saturday on Netflix.

One Piece, though, is slowing down considerably in 2026. It's reverting to a schedule of 26 episodes per year, down from the usual total of around 40 or 50 episodes.
That move has been done to allow the manga further time to stretch ahead, as well as fix any pacing issues.
Where to watch One Piece
One Piece is available to watch on Crunchyroll in the following regions (as long as you're a paid subscriber): North America, Central America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
For those who aren't in those territories or don't have a Crunchyroll membership, the Elbaph Arc will be available to watch (on a slight delay) on Netflix.
One Piece Elbaph Arc episode count
The One Piece Elbaph Arc is set to consist of 26 episodes, split into two parts (or cours) of 13 episodes each. That means the anime will soon be creeping up towards the 1200 episodes mark in 2027 and beyond.
