Two of the best anime available are currently battling it out for the top spot on My Anime List's ranking of the Top Anime Series.
At the time of writing, Frieren sits at number one on the ranking with a score of 9.25. But, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Steel Ball Run is hot on its heels at 9.23, and, according to Anime Rave, it took the top spot on March 19 with a 9.35 rating. Frieren reclaimed first position on March 22.
So far, only one episode of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Steel Ball Run has been released, and it's unclear when we might see the second episode.
"I want to see it soon, too! When will it be? I don't know," director Yasuhiro Kimura said recently of the second episode. "It takes a lot of time to make just one episode, but production is going smoothly, and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished episode as much as you are!"
The final episode of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End season 2 will arrive on March 27. Season 2 briefly stole the top spot from its own first season on the ranking, but has now slipped back down to number 14 with a still-stellar rating of nine.
