Right, it's finally happened. Xur has cracked under the pressure and put Gjallarhorn out for sale this weekend. Okay, so it's probably not that. It's probably a product of two distinct things, actually. Firstly, Bungie has realised that announcing that a total reboot of Destinys' levelling system is coming in next month's Taken King expansion has disincentivised anyone from playing for the next four weeks, and is trying to draw us back in with exciting shiny trinkets. Secondly, full of regret at the madness, obsession, and negativity wreaked upon the community by the most overpowered of (now nerfed) rocket launchers, it has decided to raze the whole problem to the ground by effectively just giving one to everyone before the game moves on.
In my mind, it's like Lucius Fox typing his name into the sonar batcomputer at the end of The Dark Knight, only with Morgan Freeman playing an entire development studio, and and a Norse-themed bazooka standing in for Christian Bale's eyes. Anyway, here's the full run-down of what Xur is selling this week - he's currently in the Tower hangar lounge - assuming you care about any of the rest of it.
Exotic weapons and armour:
An Insurmountable Skullfort (Titan helmet) - 13 Strange Coins
Achlyophage Symbiote (Hunter helmet) - 13 Strange Coins Beyond Nemesis (Warlock helmet) - 13 Strange Coins Gjallarhorn (Rocket Launcher) - 17 Strange Coins Exotic Shard - 7 Strange Coins Exotic Engram (Gauntlet) - 23 Motes of Light
Happy now? Assuming that you haven't recently got one to drop after hours of grinding, I'd imagine so.
