A few weeks ago it was revealed that Joe Manganiello had signed on to play Deathstroke in Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie, and the Magic Mike actor is wasting no time getting familiar with his role.
Manganiello recently took to his Twitter account to share a couple of photos tagged '#Research', each of which contained a slew of comics and other Deathstroke merchandise.
Check it out below...

Clearly playing Deathstroke does not come without its share of perks (including Funko POP! toys and LEGO figurines), and some of the comics Manganiello has picked out are intriguing. 'Deathstroke the Terminator' - which sees the mercenary come to Gotham to figure out who is assassinating mob bosses - is a particularly astute choice given that it's one of Deathstroke's first encounters with Batman.
Affleck - who is writing the movie along with Geoff Johns - has previously said that he'll be "borrowing great stories from the great comic books but create an original story around it", and some of those comics could well be in Manganiello's new collection. Get reading Joe!
