Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders are available across the US and UK, with both the Cross-Gen and Vault Edition bundles on the shelves. That means you can get your name down for a copy of MW2 well ahead of time, and if you go digital you can get some excellent early access too. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on October 28, 2022.

However, a very timely reminder is that with us being in the week of Beta Access (week commencing Sept 12), now is a great time to pre-order Modern Warfare 2. With all pre-orderers getting some kind of access or even early access to the beta, today (Sept 15) is a perfect time - and last full day - to commit and get in. The Beta access opens on September 16 for PlayStation pre-orders, and September 22 for Xbox and PC pre-orders (both two days early then non-pre-orderers) so getting your copy sorted now is ideal if you want to slip into that Beta - and enjoy some other pre-order bonuses as the below details highlight.

Quick Pre-orders

Pre-order MW2 on PS5: $69.99 at Amazon

Pre-order MW2 on Xbox: $69.99 at Amazon

Getting to pre-order details, unlike other games opting for a cheaper PS4 / Xbox One release, Call of Duty: MW2 pre-orders are the same price whether you're buying for the current or previous generation. That's because the Cross-Gen bundle packages both versions of the game onto one $69.99 / £69.99 purchase, so you're covered whichever side of the line you fall on. That's a little disappointing for those who kept their previous generation console for a shot at some cheaper games.

While Steam has already launched Call of Duty MW2 pre-orders for PC players, you'll be heading to either Amazon or Microsoft to secure your game in the US, and Game in the UK. More retailers are bound to jump into the mix soon, though, so we'll be keeping this page stocked with all the latest launches.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II comes in either the Cross-Gen Bundle or the Vault Edition, a $99.99 / £99.99 pre-order offering up plenty of digital goodies to give you a head start. You'll find all the latest MW2 pre-order offerings just below.
