It's a good thing you're probably sitting, because otherwise your feet might be swept out from under you by the shockwave from this ten octillion megaton bombshell. Like World at War, Black Ops willcontain a zombie mode.
Calling it their "worst kept secret," Treyarch revealed the survival co-op mode today with a press release and nothing else. So we don't have any screens or video to show you, but we can show you this screen of CoD: World at War... just pretend the zombies are communists instead of Nazis.
Above: The zombie mode from World at War
%26ldquo;Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Call of Duty: Black Ops,%26rdquo; said Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia. %26ldquo;We%26rsquo;ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our Zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.%26rdquo;
What's that surprise? We don't know. But anyone who feared that zombies were being axed from the series - settle down, the zombie axing isn't metaphorical.
And if you want to kill zombies now (because you can't do that in any other recent games), you can download a new map, Der Riese, for Call of Duty: Zombies on the iPhoneor iPodTouch.Or just wait until November 9th for a taste of the real Black Opsicle.
