Buy the Oculus Rift headset at the lowest price yet for only 48 hours

If you've been eyeballing an Oculus Rift VR headset since they were released last year then to congratulate you for being patient, there's now £50 off in the UK at Currys and John Lewis. For £499 after discount, the Oculus Rift comes with a built in sound system (so no need to buy any additional headphones) as well as a  sensor, remote and Xbox One wireless controller. This is the lowest price yet for the headset and according to the John Lewis website, you'll have to be fast as the promotion only lasts until January 28.

While the Oculus Rift requires a PC to play games, if you've got Windows 10 and an Xbox One, you can stream your Xbox games to the headset via your PC. This means you can play Xbox One games and backwards compatible titles. Instead of a 3D world, you'll play on a massive screen in virtual reality. There's even a choice of VR environments to settle down to some virtual cinema action.
