Tomb Raider lead writer revealed as Rhianna Pratchett

In an announcement today, Square Enix revealed that the lead writer on the upcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider series is none other than Rhianna Pratchett, the writer of Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia (2008) and Overlord.

Science fiction fans may also know Rhianna Pratchett as the daughter of legendary sci-fi writer Terry Pratchett.

Pratchett is said to have been involved in the design of Tomb Raider's narrative since early in the development process, and as such has had a large hand in shaping the direction of the project.

She will also be headlining two panels at the San Diego Comic Con so we'll hopefully learn more about the game, her involvement, and how she's helped shape the project over the coming weekend.
