Abrams sets fairly tight shooting schedule

Star Wars: Episode VII looks to have a concrete start date for cameras to begin rolling, with numerous reports claiming that the shoot will begin in mid-May.

According to HitFix , the shoot will run until September, giving Abrams around fifteen months to complete the film in post-production.

And while four and a half months seems a little on the short side for principle photography on a project of this scale, we’d imagine that the lengthy post-production schedule will allow for pick-ups and re-shoots.

Meanwhile, with the shoot set to begin in London in just over three months, we should hopefully have some official casting announced in the coming weeks. Lord knows we’ve waited long enough…

Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode VII will open in the UK on 18 December 2015.
