Sebastian Stan calls Zack Snyder out over his Ant-Man jibe

Shots have been fired between Marvel and DC this morning, with Sebastian Stan responding to Zack Snyder’s recent dig at Ant-Man. For those who missed it, the director recently dismissed the character as "flavour of the week", a description that the Captain America star seems to have taken exception to.

"Yeah, I’m sitting here and I’m listening to you and I’m thinking, 'Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?'" said Stan during an interview with Collider. "I read some of those comments where he said something about Batman and Superman, I can’t remember where I read that, somewhere… Something about, 'It’s not going to be your flavour-of-the-week Ant-Man.'"

"And I was like, 'Oh thanks, Zack. That’s great. Way to do something original.' But I would say we’re still making something very original in our own way. I mean, the Russos are coming in and taking something people are used to and they’re shaping it up and changing it in a very different way. They’re not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that."

Ouch! We won’t be expecting Stan to cross over into the DC Universe any time soon then. In the meantime, we can look forward to his next appearance for Team Marvel when he stars in Captain America: Civil War, which opens in the UK on April 29 2016 and the US on May 6 2016.
