Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye say Black Panther has the worst Marvel costume

When Black Panther first appeared in the Captain America: Civil War trailer, everyone whooped and cheered. At last, the Wakandan prince would be part of the MCU. And his costume looked pretty damn cool to boot, paying homage to the character's comic book origin. While we might think it's a great ensemble, a couple of the Avengers don't share that view.

"He has the worst costume Black Panther," Elizabeth Olsen tells Collider jokingly. "I know that poor guy. It’s the worst of any Marvel character..." says Jeremy Renner. Olsen adds: "I thought Ant-Man was bad and then I saw him."

Now, it's no secret that sometimes the best outfits can be a tad troublesome for the actors wearing them. It's obvious from their banter that Olsen and Renner aren't dissing his look, but the fact that it's a bit cumbersome for Chadwick Boseman. "Yeah Cap would complain about his cowl and it’s like dude, [Black Panther]'s got three on!" Renner adds. "Terrible, sweating – if it takes you 30 minutes to go to the bathroom, that’s a problem."

Olsen's own wardrobe doesn't sound like the easiest thing to take off in a hurry either. She says it takes her half an hour due to Scarlet Witch's various layers: "I have a onesie and a corset over my onesie, and a corset is a lace-up, so those always take like 10 minutes. I had to do it yesterday during the storm by myself."

There you have it: being a superhero looks cool, but when nature calls a t-shirt and jeans is preferable.

Directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, and Sebastian Stan, Captain America: Civil War opens in UK cinemas on April 29, 2016 and May 6, 2016 in the US.
