Patch for Pokemon X and Y save-breaking glitch now on eShop

Nintendo has released a patch for Pokemon X and Y which fixes a potentially game-breaking glitch. The 227-block update, which also improves filtering for the Global Trade Station, is available now on the 3DS eShop.

The glitch was first reported soon after Pokemon X and Y's launch on Oct. 12. Some players who saved in the outer streets of Lumiose City found that loading their saved game would produce only a frozen screen over and over again, only escapable by manually shutting off the system.

It should be safe to save your progress wherever you want in the wide world of the Kalos region after the update is installed. The glitch, and its foggy screen of anguish, will live on only as a whisper in the superstitious Pokemaniac community.
