Marvel’s Agent Carter TV show has added another name to its cast list, with James D’Arcy signing on to play Jarvis.
Edwin Jarvis is the loyal butler of one Howard Stark, and is presumably the inspiration for J.A.R.V.I.S., the artificial intelligence system employed by Tony Stark in the Iron Man franchise.
Of course, J.A.R.V.I.S. is set to come to the fore in Avengers: Age Of Ultron , where he will make his transformation into The Vision, so it's nice to see his forerunner making an appearance in Agent Carter .
The new series will see Jarvis act as an ally to Hayley Atwell’s titular protagonist, who finds herself somewhat adrift after the disappearance of Steve Rogers.
Co-starring Chad Michael Murray and Dominic Cooper, the new series is set to premiere in the States in January, with a UK air date yet to be confirmed.
