According to series creator Tim Kring, Heroes never should have left the air. Not because of its quality or any affront to his personal pride, but because the show was doing amazingly well among viewers, just not the ones their network was counting: "We had a very big audience out there that was not watching in a traditional way," said Kring in an interview with GamesRadar+. "We were the #1 most downloaded show on television the year that we were canceled. We were one of the most streamed shows, one of the most DVRed shows, sold millions of DVDs." While that was lost on the network at the time, Kring says those "non-traditional ways…can now can be counted," which brings us to the upcoming release of Heroes Reborn.
Premiering this fall and taking place five years after the cliffhanger that concluded the first series, Heroes Reborn focuses on a world where superpowers are no longer hidden from the public, which comes with serious consequences for our heroes.
