Guild Wars 2 beta weekends begin later this month
Date set for first public tests of ArenaNet's sequel
Having judiciously opened the doors for all and sundry to request Guild Wars 2 public beta registrations earlier this year, publisher NCsoft has announced a date for the game's first Beta Weekend Event. The trial will take place from April 27 to 29, with the beta client currently being prepped for download. Keep an eye on the game's Twitter feed for further info – but if you're in on the event, either through pre-order or public registration, we're sure you'll be watching your email inbox like a hawk anyway.
You can still guarantee your place in the Guild Wars 2 beta with a pre-order, though public registrations have closed. If you'd prefer someone else do all the playing and testing alike, our Guild Wars 2 closed beta preview will do the heavy lifting (together with the rather more common light mouse-clicking) for you.
