EA, Eidos, and Capybara Games honored at Canadian Videogame Awards

Canadian developers celebrated at 3rd annual industry event

EA, Eidos Montreal, and Capybara Games are the newly crowned kings of the Canadian video game scene. This weekend, officials with the 3rd Annual Canadian Videogame Awards (CVA) named FIFA 2012 the top game of 2011, and bestowed both Deus Ex: human Revolution and Superbrothers: Sword and Sorcery EP with five awards each.

The Canadian Videogame Awards were hosted by Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter, and held this past Saturday during a live presentation in Vancouver, British Columbia. On-hand for the gala was Victor Lucas, CVA co-founder and executive producer of The Electric Playground, who noted: "The games we saw at the show this evening are world-class and illustrate once again that Canadian game developers are second to none when it comes to creating interactive entertainment!"
