A weekend of classic science fiction at Bletchley Park

SCI-FI-LONDON , the UK's leading science fiction film festival, is teaming up with ICMK (Independent Cinema Milton Keynes) and the Cambridge Film Trust for Station X Sci-Fi – a curated weekend of immersive screenings and family-friendly workshops.

Part of the BFI's blockbuster season of sci-fi films, Days Of Fear And Wonder , the event takes place over three evenings at Bletchley Park and The Museum of Computing from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 September.

SCI-FI-LONDON will be screening a selection of international short films and the festival's first feature film The Search For Simon (2013, UK, Dir. Martin Gooch). In addition, founder and director of the festival, Louis Savy, will be giving a lecture on making low/no budget science fiction films.

As well as new film, the weekend will feature the classic Close Encounters Of The Third Kind and X The Unknown screened outdoors, along with the UK Premiere of the rediscovered Russian film, Cosmic Voyage with a live score by Neil Brand and Jeff Davenport.

Other highlights include: 18 feature film screenings, a stop-motion sci-fi workshop, an “ask a scientist” panel, tours in moon buggies, space food, and a Dalek and Tardis on site! Evening tickets cost £15, weekend passes £30 and under 12s go free.
