Captain America: Civil War could have more post-credit scenes than any other Marvel movie

The first (and arguably best) post-credit scene in Marvel's Cinematic Universe came at the end of 2008's Iron Man, when Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury told Tony Stark - and the moviegoing public - that he was just one part of a bigger universe. Ever since, Marvel have made sure to include at least one stinger at the end of each movie - the most we've ever had is two - but it looks like Captain America: Civil War may break that record.

While speaking with Forbes in a wide-ranging interview on all things Marvel, the Russo brothers revealed that they could be multiple post-credit scenes at the end of Civil War; "We can’t say who is going to be in it but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three. We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done."

At first glance these comments may seem a little surprising, but when you consider that Civil War is aiming to alter the psychology of the MCU in an extreme way - in addition to introducing new characters like Spider-Man and Black Panther, both of whom have their first solo movies coming out in the next two years - they start to make a little more sense.

In the same interview, the Russos also addressed the possible return of Marvel's popular one-shots - short films that are sometimes an extra feature on Blu-Ray releases - and suggested that in future they could be seen on different platforms.

"We can’t go into too many details about this but we are thinking, very specifically, about to do new ways of what you are talking about with Avengers: Infinity War. We’re just in the beginning phases of figuring them out. Yes, DVDs are gone but there is this wonderful internet platform out there called YouTube." Sounds good to us!
