Bryce Dallas Howard defends Jurassic World high heels... again

Jurassic World might have been out of cinemas for some time now, but Bryce Dallas Howard is still having to answer questions about her character’s decision to stick with her high heels, despite being chased by a host of hungry dinosaurs. Pleasingly, although the question has been asked of her time and again, Howard is still backing the decision to go with said footwear.

"This is someone who’s going to be eaten by a dinosaur," explains Howard to Yahoo! Movies. "She is ill-equipped to be in the jungle. This person does not belong in the jungle. From a logical standpoint, I don’t think she would take off her heels. I don’t think she would choose to be barefoot. I don’t think she would run faster barefoot in the jungle with vines and stones."

"I’m better equipped to run when I have shoes on my feet," continues the actress. "So that’s my perspective on it. I don’t think she would carry flats around with her. I think she’s somebody who could sprint a marathon in heels."

Good point, well made. Now perhaps we can go back to the tourist-munching dino fun and stop worrying about the female lead’s wardrobe choices. Jurassic World will be available to own on Blu-ray and DVD from October 20 2015.
