Battlefield 4 Second Assault DLC will be timed Xbox One exclusive

Battlefield 4 will have timed-exclusive multiplayer map pack DLC called 'Second Assault' released first on Xbox One. The game's campaign mode was also demonstrated during Microsoft's E3 press conference by DICE's Patrick Soderlund (after a technical error which delayed proceedings by a minute or so).

The 'Angry Sea' level was shown running at 60 frames per second with exquisite lighting effects made possible by the Frostbite 3 engine. The action took place on a carrier ship, through which the player moved until the ship was split apart. Planes were shown sliding across the deck before toppling into the ocean, before a boat section showed off some phenomenal water effects.

The demonstration will be available to see close-up on E3's showfloor so expect opinion of this one over the coming days. We'll also embed the trailer here as soon as we have it, so check back soon.
