The best Amazon Prime Big Deal Days gaming deals in Australia for 2025: all the best deals on PS5, Nintendo Switch and much more
Amazon Prime Day gaming deals are landing

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon's second major sale for 2025 that kicked off on October 7 in Australia and running for seven whole days until October 13. I've been covering discounts on everything from the PS5 to Nintendo Switch for over five years now, and I've picked up a thing or two about how these sales run along the way. Come October 13, I'll be collecting together all the best and most remarkable gaming deals on this page.
Based on both the July Prime Day proceedings and what happened this time last year, Big Deal Days Prime Day is likely to be a great time to buy third-party games for PS5 and Nintendo Switch, as well as peripherals, including headsets. First-party Nintendo games probably won't get drastic discounts—especially Switch 2 games—but it's likely we'll see some nice cuts on first-party PS5 games.
This being an Amazon sale, the vast majority of good deals will require an Amazon Prime membership. That's OK: if you don't have one, you can sign up for a free one-month trial below.
Amazon Prime | 30-day free trial
You will need an Amazon Prime membership to take part in this year's sale, but the retailer regularly offers free trials to get as many eyes on its site as possible. This 30-day offer will see you all the way through the sale without paying a cent!
PS5 deals
Only weeks after launch, this is a welcome discount on 2K's long-running open world crim sim. This one is a more focused, story-focused instalment compared to its divisive predecessor.
Not the hugest discount by Amazon standards, but the game's not been out for long (on PS5, at least) so this is probably the best we can expect at this point. And it's hard to argue when the game is this good: Machine Games (Wolfenstein: The New Order) mixes stealth, combat and puzzles in an adventure that deftly mixes jaw-dropping set pieces with exploration heavy open world scenarios.
A brilliant price for this sprawling modern classic, which stands as probably the only essential RPG for PS5 at this point. This edition doesn't include the brilliant Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, but it still offers hundreds of hours of exploration and tense combat. It's the one PS5 game everyone should own.
A decent discount on this newly released Hazelight affair, which will definitely appeal to anyone who loved the cooperative shenanigans of It Takes Two. As with that older game, you will need a friend to play this - it's not a solo affair - but if you do, it's sizing up to be the best narrative-action game of 2025.
It's been cheaper before, but this first-party gem pretty rarely gets a deep discount, so 19% off is a good, albeit pretty common, discount. It's a big cheerful platformer with an astonishing amount of ideas. If you're a fan of PlayStation history, it's pretty much a must-own, and the same holds true if you love 3D platformers.
Nintendo Switch deals
Having an extra set of Joy-Con 2 controllers can come in handy, especially if you plan to play a lot of local Mario Kart World. This extra pair comes with both the left and right updated Joy-Con 2 controllers, which includes the newly updated HD rumble and mouse controls. Switch 2 peripherals haven't been subject to a great many discounts since launch, so now's a good time to grab a spare.
This is marginally cheaper than the RRP, but marginal is better than no discount when it comes to Nintendo. This is a highly regarded 3D platformer from the team that brought us Mario Odyssey, so if you have a Switch 2 it's basically essential.
Ahead of its release next Thursday, Amazon has carved a welcome 10% off the RRP for this incoming Pokémon game. It's the first in the series to release natively for Nintendo Switch 2 (though it's coming to the older Switch too) so expect proceedings to be sharper and smoother than the famously ropey Scarlet & Violet. This one ditches turn-based combat for a live-action approach that's reminiscent of the Xenoblade Chronicles games.
Street Fighter 6 was already brilliant when it released for other platforms a couple of years ago, but it's even better in 2025, making this a must-have launch title. It's also a bit of a steal at AU$59, when compared to other Nintendo Switch 2 games. If you're after a fighter on your new console, it's the best you'll find.
The Hitman series is brilliant, and this Nintendo Switch 2 offering is very generous: it contains campaigns from the modern Hitman trilogy, as well as a suite of bonuses including Contracts mode, Escalation, and more. Easily the best immersive sim / stealth game on Nintendo Switch 2 at launch (also, the only one).
It wouldn't be a Nintendo launch without a new Sonic ga... uh, this will never stop feeling weird. Anyway, if you're keen on this new take on a classic modern Sonic game, complete with a Shadow campaign, then Amazon is offering a touch over AU$20 off the RRP.
Not an all time low (it's been down to AU$55) but still a good price on a charming Nintendo RPG, especially since Nintendo first-party games are a little thin on the ground this Prime Day. Originally released for SNES in 1996, this thoroughly revamped version maintains the source material's isometric turn-based gameplay but applies a thick coating of fresh paint. It's an "RPG for everyone", which means that even if you baulk at turn-based JRPGs, you'll probably get something out of this if you're a Mario fan.
Xbox
Sick of stick drift? This 8bitdo eliminates it (in theory) via the use of hall effect sticks. It's a wired only affair, so you're going to need a big cord if you have a big gaming space.
Headsets
A nice saving on this wireless gaming headset, which is compatible with PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Love that gamer aesthetic? This delivers in spades at a budget price, and the chunky form factor has the added bonus of not really fitting between couch cushions. Black and white colourways are now sold out, but you can still get this price on blue and lilac.
Logitech is not mucking around with this one, and AU$450 for a gaming headset may seem a bit rich. Even a little under AU$300 is pricey, but it makes this premium set of gaming cans a bit more obtainable. It has 50mm graphene drivers, DTS:X Headphone 2.0—7.1 Surround, Bluetooth, USB and 3.5mm connectivity, and support for PC, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
This discount is a little way off the AU$150 offer we saw during last year's Black Friday, but is still a decent price. The Corsair HS80 Max Wireless Gaming Headset offers low-latency 2.4Ghz wireless audio and Bluetooth connectivity, along with high-fidelity 24bit/96kHz sound and support for Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio.
Not the best price we've seen on these wireless cans since release, but still a saving on the RRP. They offer brilliant longevity with 300 hours of battery life, but the sound is great too: DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio is here. It uses 2.4Ghz wireless connectivity, but has no Bluetooth for on-the-go listening.
A decent 30% discount on this budget wireless headset; it may not be fancy, but it boasts a reliable 2.4Ghz wireless connection, an advertised 17-hour battery life, and 40mm drivers inside its closed cup design. If you're after something cheap and cheerful from a reputable brand, these are worth investigation.
