Microsoft reveals 2TB Xbox One if you don't mind your hard drive being external

Microsoft and Seagate have partnered to create an officially-licensed and endorsed 2TB Xbox One external hard drive to help those of you who may now or soon be running low on free space in your Xbox One. The $110 peripheral will be in stores later this month, and will be compatible with both Xbox One and Xbox 360 by way of an included USB cable.

Even if you managed to snag a 1TB console (like that recently-announced special edition Halo 5 Xbox One bundle), games with 40GB+ install sizes are quickly becoming the norm. There's also the huge library of backwards compatible games coming to Xbox One in November, plus the fact that your Xbox One will soon be able to function as a DVR. It all adds up to a future of hard drives stuffed full of data, so a 2TB storage option (even if it is external and very, very green) is welcome.
