Though reactions to the first Ant-Man trailer were mixed a few weeks ago, actress Judy Greer has come out in support of the film, promising it will contain “lots of comedy”.
Greer, who'll also be appearing in Jurassic World and Tomorrowland this year, plays the ex-wife of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and revealed to IGN that she's loved popping her comic-book movie cherry.
“Paul is so awesome and he’s so great in this role,” she says. “This has been my first comic hero that I’ve really researched and fallen for.
“I also think the Ant-Man origin story that we tell in our movie is really beautiful and I think there’s something really real about a man trying to better himself for his family.”
On top of that, Greer added that “there was a lot of comedy on set and we did a lot of comedic improv”, which should come as no surprise to anybody who's ever seen a Paul Rudd movie.
Ant-Man opens in the UK on 17 July 2015.
