It's all go on the World War II front this week. Following Codemasters' announcement on Tuesday of , we've today learned that members of the development teams that worked on Fallout 2, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon are now working on a new PS2 and Xbox game for Acclaim called Combat Elite: WWII Paratroopers.
Due for release in June, the mission-based actioner features over 40 levels that promise to recreate some of the most important battles of World War II, including D-Day, Operation Market Garden and the winter defence of Bastogne.
As players rise through the ranks, they'll be able to customise their characters with new skills and abilities, while we can also expect the usual array of historically accurate weapons, equipment and devices. There's also a two-player same-screen cooperative mode. Take a look at the gallery to the right for an array of the first screenshots from the game.
