ZombiU Deluxe Wii U bundle includes game, Pro Controller

$390 set includes Deluxe trappings, will be available Feb. 17

Nintendo today announced a new bundle which might tempt a few "core gamer" holdouts over to Wii U.

The ZombiU Deluxe Set comes with the game, a Pro Controller, and everything in the Deluxe Bundle: the 32 GB console, GamePad, Nintendo Land (this time in download form), and access to the Digital Deluxe program. The bundle runs at $390, just $40 more than the regular Deluxe set, which is a pretty good deal considering the extra stuff would cost $110 by itself.

If you're wondering why a ZombiU bundle would include a Pro Controller when the game makes such heavy use of the GamePad, that's because it's ideal for puny humans playing the non-zombie-spawning role in ZombiU's asymmetrical multiplayer.

The bundle will be available in stores starting February 17.

Now I wish I had waited, only because of the pro controller.

If it was something other than Zombie U, I would think about it.

I have little interest n ZombieU, but this bundle seems nice. I'm kinda glad now that no stores had the Black WII U when I had the cash to burn on it.

didn't this already release in europe? why did nintendo wait so long to release it in North America?

Good thing I bought all these things at full price only a couple months ago! I thought Nintendo was going to stop burning the early adopters after the 3DS fiasco. This would have been fine if they did this in half a year at the very least but it sure stings to get burned this early. I had defended the WiiU but after seeing this coupled with the huge delay for Rayman I'm willing to take another stance.

Just as everyone predicted. No price cuts, but bundles will be made with some nice deals. Might be time I start saving up for a Wii U now

And this is why I'm waiting on getting the Wii U. This bundle is tempting as it has the pro controller which I would buy eventually, and I wouldn't mind trying Zombie U, but I'm kinda having hopes for Nintendo releasing some sort of limited edition Zelda or Mario related Wii U.

Coupled with Wind Waker HD, the new Mario, and the new Mario Kart, this is enough to make me start making provisions to get a Wii U.
