    They made the series intentionally silly for the kids, but they cram in a lot of fan service for us veterans of the batman.

    I've only seen a few episodes but this is pretty much in line with how the TV show goes. Ironically, the makers of the show addressed the fact that the Batman in Brave and the Bold is not as grim and gritty as he is in other versions of the character. They did this within the show itself using the Bat-Mite Character. Within the episode, he appears at Comic Con and addresses a crowd of fans. You can see it on Youtube in the video entitled "Batman: Brave and the Bold: Batmite at the comic con! Bat Mite!" I'd post it here but I'm not sure what the rules are on posting videos and links....
