Man that felt like Caprica with Pokemon instead of robot things. Loved the part were Ash was a Ditto. They should turn this into a TV show.

Any conflict of this measure in the Poké world has to result in the appearance/evolution/creation of new legendary Pokémon. Probably two. That are different colors. They'd be of opposite persuasions, as always. Assumably, The Pokémon of war and peace. And then a third more powerful legendary (also a different, but somehow similar color) derived from something like treason. Perhaps named Benedicton.

Anyone else being reminded of the Movie you make in Pokemon Black and White 2, where the bugs take over?

i think you didn't give humans enough credit: 1. never really stated but assumed only one pokemon can be stuffed into a pokeball(dugdrio) 2.in the orre games a villanous team by the name of cipher had a machine that converted pokemon into shadow pokemon which have no will of their own and have attacks that deal super effective hits to non shadow pokemon 3.the majority of pokemon are not able to fully evolve on thier own, i've never seen a wild pokemon that has completed it's three stage evolution with the exception of bug types. 4.wild pokemon are much weaker than trained ones, even the legendary pokemon. they got terrible starting move sets which they don't effectively use, the most powerful moves are from human's tms/hms or tutors, lower lvls, effort values stats what ever, and THEY CAN'T USE ITEMS(held items or full restores that make the elite four so annoying the first time around) and thus most can't heal them selves and hardly any can heal others since the only moves that can do that are heal beam, wish, or moves that require self sacrifice and again they don't start with em. if i wasn't so obsessed on catching the legendaries they'd be rather easy to take down. 5. we have pokemon repellant that is mostly full proof unless we force an interaction by approaching a specific pokemon usually a legendary or obstacle 6.pokemon have weaknesses, easily exploitable ones, we humans have equipment and tools to protect us and minimize thier threat. 7.how would they get stronger? if the world is divided into pokemon and humans and they start out so weak how will they improve? if they fight/train with each other the heck is the rebellion about they'd be doing the same junk? actually they'd be weaker and challenge humans to a fight to the death when previously the worst that'd happen to them is that they faint. 8. we've been holding back. the only food that are referenced are leftovers(an apple core), Old Gateau(OLD!), beverages, ice cream, and berries which seriously i think pokemon owe us for, they are practically no where mostly produced and grown by humans of all ages. we've been on this diet for a really long time! i'm ready to chow down on vanillux after my exotic arceus steak! 9.come to think of it what the heck would keep them from eating each other if we weren't around to feed them! they'd actually have terrible coordination, ground types using earthquake would do a huge number on their own forces and pretty much any weather move or field move will hinder their comrades assuming if they can even learn that move on their own. some pokemon even have vicious rivalries such as zangeese and sevipers. 10. a good number of humans have trained themselves with pokemon with fire breathers, swimmers(the heck will any water move do while your submerged with the exception of whirlpool which is even weaker than water gun), black belt(smashing rocks with thier bare fists), miners(smashing rocks with pick axes and digging),biker roughnecks(chains ,poison ,dark and dirty moves, and a vehicles to make em road kill), freakin ninjas and more(exorcists/psychics)! 11.the stronger pokemon are way rarer and not too much more powerful so after they're taken down what then? big deal wasn't very tough and you don't even have 5 of em. 12. other than mewtwo and arceus every single pokemon has been manipulable to the end and that's only if you don't include the player. 13. info shinfo they only got word of mouth to communicate, important locations is about the only thing they can use while we can figure out absolutely every single detail about them. Bring it on pocket pawns!

and that's only with junk from the games no ketchum
  • slimjim441 - December 19, 2012 12:55 a.m.

You may have gone into this a little too much... but then, I've thought of several of these as well. My only real gripe was that Ash was used instead of Red. Do I need to pull out the chart?
  • C.King - December 19, 2012 3:38 p.m.

maybe idk what happened i just started writing and a hr passed, but i think it was fun. out of curiosity which ones have you thought of?
  • slimjim441 - December 19, 2012 9:42 p.m.

3, 4, 5, and 6 came to mind immediately as I was reading. I was considering point 3, not just from what we see as wild pokemon, but what of pokemon like Raichu or Starmie, who evolve by use of evolve stones (i.e. Thunderstone, Waterstone)? How are they ever supposed to evolve on their own?
  • FierceVoltage - December 20, 2012 12:41 p.m.

    What is the first one?
  • bigwill1221 - December 18, 2012 9 p.m.

And then the god pokemon nuked the world. Restarting it from day 0.
  • SpadesSlick - December 18, 2012 8:54 p.m.

I would watch a television show about this. It's homeland mixed with the walking dead mixed with a michael bay film mixed with pokemon. What's not to love?
  • oryanbelt - December 18, 2012 8:02 p.m.

This was absolutely the best article I have read in a long time. Bravo to those involved in this article and I would love more

Holy God, this is awesome yet horrifying at the same time. This is what the plot of Pokemon: The First Movie SHOULD have been.
  • Hobogonigal - December 18, 2012 6:54 p.m.

Wow great article with nice graphics and an interesting plot. If only poke'mon could actually have a plot somewhat like this, hell I'd even read it in novel/comic form!
  • Brutalicus - December 18, 2012 5:40 p.m.

AD 2101 WAR WAS BEGINNING This was awesome, and should probably be expanded into a novel.
  • masterjoe123 - December 18, 2012 5:18 p.m.

O my god. This was a spectacular article. I want to see more like this. Keep up the good work guys. PS: If this was an actual game, Nintendo would become trillionares.
  • obviouslyadouche - December 18, 2012 3:54 p.m.

This is utterly fantastic, and that art is amazing, especially that Iwo Jima one with snorlax and pikachu's
  • Hobbitking17 - December 18, 2012 3:53 p.m.

And this is why PETA need to stop having a go at fictional animal cruelty, Pokemon are weapons and need to be controlled as such.
  • shawksta - December 18, 2012 6:13 p.m.

PETA is irrelevant, its already horribley embarrasing they decide to attack Pokemon THIS YEAR
