Transistor combat guide

Supergiant Games have upped the ante with their second release in the wake of Bastion. Transistor is a revenge-meets-love-story-meets-Tron mash-up with a crisp art style that bleeds into soft watercolours accompanied by a vast medley of ambient tracks that Red can hum along to at the push of a button. You can read more about our impressions of the game in Coop’s review but for now, let’s get down to the serious business of beat downs.

A giant glowing sword with a sexy, manly voice is all well and good, but a girl’s got to know how to wield it. The combat system retains some minor similarities to Bastion, but for the most part it’s a brand new experience that’s a lot more fluid and versatile and hence, a tad more complex.

If it all looks a little overwhelming, fret not, because we’ve done the hard work for you. The numbers have been crunched, the combos have been gnawed and we’ve nibbled the hell out of everything else. You’ll be decimating the Process to bits in no time at all!
