    Jason Brody in Far Cry 3 definitely... Denis even says it "luck favors you" when he... allright no spoilers but he really is very very lucky!

    Have you ever considered that the reason why Chansey's are captured by pokeballs is because they ALLOW themselves to be captured? They're aware that they're inherently luck, and since they're such a kind and giving pokemon, they allow themselves to be captured in order to share their gift with less lucky folk.

    My god, that's genius.

    Chansey's actually a fantastic wall in competitive pokemon having one of the higher HP along with pretty good defenses. Its evolution, blissey improves on that. It also has a wide movepool. Also, Lucky Egg is an actual item in the Pokemon games. It does have an incredibly rare chance of being held by a Chansey starting Gen IV FR/LG and it acts similarly to an EXP Share except the pokemon holding it has to be in the battle. The lucky egg you mention in its entry probably explains its signature move, Softboiled.

    Not to mention that actually capturing one takes a damn bit of luck. The rarity of them, combined with being in the Safari Zone (where everything seems inclined to run at a moments notice) means luck is probably the key part of catching one.

    Do you know who this list is missing? PHOENIX WRIGHT! :D Here is but a few examples of his luck: - Ate a glass bottle that may have contained a fatal poison... ...Ends up completely fine. - Gets smashed on the back of the head with a fire extinguisher... ...Only gets temporary amnesia from it and stil wins the court case despite forgetting all the details about it as well as how to defend. - Falls 40ft off a burning wooden suspension bridge into the freezing river rapids below which are known for washing away victims, never to be seen again... ...Gets a cold. - Is hit head on by a speeding car and is sent flying several meters headfirst into a telephone pole. ...Sprains his ankle. Not even mentioning all the crazy situations that happen inside the courtroom themselves that he somehow manages to get out of in one piece. The man must be simultaneously the single luckiest and unluckiest man in the world.

    Great list. I always thought it quite absurd how Drake manages to survive everything he has to deal with in those games. The chance of him being dead by the end of the Uncharted 3 should, statistically, be pretty damned high. But no. As for other lucky characters, how about Daxter (from Jak & Daxter, obviously)? Not to drop too many spoilers for an old game, but over the course of the series he comes to realise that being turned into an Ottsel wasn't so bad after all, to the point where it becomes beyond advantageous.

    How about the main character from bioshock since he's lucky enough to be the only person in Rapture who's genetic makeup can activate the vita-chambers if I remember correctly
  • GR_RyanTaljonick - March 18, 2013 8:46 p.m.

    You are 100% correct.
  • BladedFalcon - March 19, 2013 12:17 a.m.

    Um... yes, and he can do that, because he's the son of the madman that crated the place, and is brainwashed and manipulated all along to murder his own father. How is that lucky? >>;
  • GR_RyanTaljonick - March 19, 2013 8:51 a.m.

    You are 100% correct.

  • BladedFalcon - March 19, 2013 10 p.m.

    Fair enough XD
  • Person5 - March 22, 2013 5:21 p.m.

    Yeah the whole point was that Vita chambers can only be used by people with Ryan's DNA, it was kind of foreshadowing the big reveal. As for subject Delta? Plot holes?
  • Unoriginal - March 19, 2013 5:48 a.m.

    How come Subject Delta can activate them in the Sequel?
