Final Fantasy XIII-2 "time travel" trailer gets all Chrono Trigger

Hey, this new Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer has time travel in it! Being as time travel has already received a Nobel Prize for Complexity in Narrative Devices (don't bother looking it up, we'd never lie to you), it's always a welcome addition to the plot of a Final Fantasy title. After all, we're talking about a series whose stories' aim seems to be “not making any damn sense” with a tangential sideline in “containing Chocobos.”

You'll be able to begin Final Fantasy XIII-2's long journey into impeccably-detailed confusion (and Chocobos) when the game launches at the end of this month – or get a taste by downloading the demo. We had another look recently, and found time to compare the game's two versions.

Why can't they work on a GREAT storyline to keep me engaged. The nice graphics and annoying "collect/upgrade everything" has really taken away from a great story of a game. I would rather enjoy my 30-40 hours playing FF4, 5 or 6 then "watch" this game... How much playing do you really do??

Hooray! Hallways you have to run down TWICE! I loved XIII's combat, but I had nightmares about being trapped in hallways after playing it, there is no way i'm getting this one.

I know nothing of this game but the article just reminded me about my question if an HD remake of Chrono Trigger has been made yet. Just thought I'd let you guys know.
