Eurogamer reported today that Square Enix will be offering a unique new perk to Sleeping Dogs for their loyal customers who also purchased one of their previous titles, Just Cause 2.
Anybody with a Just Cause 2 save file on their Xbox 360, PS3, or PC will get access to a free downloadable outfit themed on the clothing of the main character from JC2. But the more interesting part is that the outfit will confer a buff to the vehicle hijacking skill, allowing you to make "stunt-like" hijacks from further away.
We haven't seen this ability in action, but it actually sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Depending on how big the buff is. We're hoping it's huge. Like hijack-a-dude-from-the-top-of-a-building huge. That's probably unrealistic, but we're still hoping it makes the action more acrobatic, and encourages gamers to try new moves.
Don't have a copy of Just Cause 2? No problem, because it's a measly $10 download on Amazon, and it's routinely on sale for even less on Steam. Also, you should just buy it on its own merits because it's an amazing sandbox game. You can check out a few screenshots of the new duds in action at the EG link above.
