Rumor: Sonic Generations DLC, stage list and boss fights leaked

Sonic the Hedgehog may be fast, but Sonic fans have proven to be faster, ripping the game’s stage list, DLC details, and boss fights from the recently released demo for Sonic Generations. The detailed list, first posted on the Sonic Retro forums, may anger core Sonic fans who are infamous for hating what they love most. Still, it does feature many classic stages and bosses from past titles. It also appears that the Casino Night Zone, a Sonic pinball level, will be released as DLC at a later date.

The list also appears to have been removed due to a copyright claim from Sega, which speaks more to the credibility of the leaked list. Here it is in its entirety:

Green Hill Zone
Chemical Plant Zone
Sky Sanctuary Zone
Speed Highway
City Escape
Seaside Hill
Crisis City
Rooftop Run
Planet Wisp

Casino Night Zone

Boss fights
Metal Sonic
"Death Egg"
Perfect Chaos
Egg Dragoon
Boss LastBoss(TimeEater) (That's just what the file calls it.)

The free demo for Sonic Generations launched today to celebrate Sonic’s 20th anniversary and will be available on Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network for the next 20 days.

NOT MY THEORY/OBSERVATION Just reposting this observation that someone made on a Sonic forum that I can't seem to find the source for now. An observation on how these stages and bosses all fit together: Classic Area: Green Hill Zone (Sonic 1) Chemical Plant Zone (Sonic 2) Sky Sanctuary Zone (Sonic & Knuckles) Rival Boss = Metal Sonic Boss = Death Egg Adventure Area: Speed Highway (Sonic Adventure) City Escape (Sonic Adventure 2) Seaside Hill (Sonic Heroes) Rival Boss = Shadow Boss = Perfect Chaos Modern Area: Crisis City (Sonic 06) Rooftop Run (Sonic Unleashed) Planet Wisp (Sonic Colors) Rival Boss = Silver Boss = Egg Dragoon Last Boss = Time Eater

Just played the demo and it soooo much better than Sonic 4, not that I hated Sonic 4... but well, you know what I mean, the speed, jump physics and such (not to mention, no FUCKING homing attacks). I am really looking forward to this full game... Please don't release the game in episodes though... Seriously.

Yay! Sonic's most beloved level is coming as paid DLC! Really makes me want to shell out for the game now!

Why does everything have to have DLC? Yes, I know: money. At this point, the companies are cutting levels to sell as DLC. Lame.

Oh man, here's hoping for an epic final boss song against "Time Eater". Sonic Colors' final boss song was amazing.
  • FunkyPickle - June 24, 2011 4:32 a.m.

@smashpro1 Yes, it does. You can hear it on the gameplay video.
  • shawksta - June 24, 2011 4:23 a.m.

Not one to poke or prod, but wasn't Casino Night from Sonic 2, not Sonic Spinball? This should be fun :D I wasn't entirely impressed with Sonic 4, and after a direct comparison made to the originals it's so easy to see why, Happy birthday Sonic.
  • smashpro1 - June 24, 2011 2:37 a.m.

City Escape BETTER have that song from Sonic Adventure 2.
  • Cyberninja - June 24, 2011 3:59 a.m.

i see what they did they took 1 stage from each game and put it in here leading to the most resent colors.
  • BadWobot - June 24, 2011 3:07 a.m.

The game will make my day if they're willing to poke fun at how terrible Sonic '06 was during that Crisis City level.
