Ratchet & Clank HD Collection teased by retailer listing [Rumor]

Having scored with HD remakes of previous-gen series such as God of War and Jak & Daxter, it's reasonable to think Sony could well be casting around for another property to reinvent for the 1080p crowd. Such an assumption's helped by the fact that Amazon's French division recently just went ahead and listed Ratchet & Clank: HD Collection with a May release.

Above: Nice work snapping this before the listing went down, Eurogamer

The listing, which gave the collection's release date as May 16, has since been pulled; Sony has issued an announcement tersely reminding the world that “we have not made any announcements regarding a Ratchet & Clank HD Collection.” There's plenty of good playing in the pre-PS3 R&C titles (indeed, we were already asking for a collection like this back in 2010) and Sony's logically-fallacious statement leaves plenty of possibility for such a collection to surface between now and May.

Quit being an arsehole, there are people who may have missed out on these games the first time round, I never played the Sly and J&D games, I have now and what do you know, they're better then most DLC-fests nowadays. Judging by your name, you're a Nintendo fan, talk about pot calling the kettle black!

These games can still be bought for $5 Buying them for $40 with slightly upscaled graphic is silly

Or if you're like me and never got a chance to purchase them when they were first released and can't find them anymore for more than $20 each, it's quite the snag. Maybe you should actually look at things from other peoples perspectives.

I'm assuming you don't own a HDTV, most PS2 games, even with a Component cable look like dogshit when stretched on an HDTV, especially when the TV's display Resolution is 1920x1080p, so for most people it is better that they release this.
  • onetimebuster - March 2, 2012 5:18 p.m.

Why would they make a hd collection of games that are already in hd.
  • Cyberninja - March 2, 2012 5:42 p.m.

the ps2 ones not the ps3 would be the one remade.
  • IceBlueKirby - March 2, 2012 9:26 p.m.

I'm in agreement that this is inevitable. We've got Sly, we've got Jak, so R&C is all that's left, really. Even though I have the PS2 versions of the first 3 games I'll probably get this when it's cheap so it'll look better on my TV.

i dont know about you guys, but i would rather the developers make money doing things like this, than make day 1 DLC.
