This GODDAMN "thing" looks like one of those mini chalkboards they use in third world countries in lieu of real notebooks, ipads, or any other goddamn piece of technology we use to keep shit we need to remember in.WTF, how are you suppose to use this third tablet that Mel Brooks dropped and broke from one of his movies (and if you know which one I'm talking about, then well to you, but if not, then go fuck yourself)Damn those thumbsticks are higher than a bald eagle on crystal meth doing a line off the top of Mt. Everest.

    What did I just read?
  • pr0tostar - May 19, 2012 8:28 p.m.

Hmm, good call on the start/select relocation. Being that far down, imagine how many kids would be dropping these just starting up a game at the title screen lol.

Anyone else notice that it's being charged by a 3DS/DSi charger? not a big deal, just wondering
  • ultrakirby64 - May 19, 2012 10:20 p.m.

No it's too thick to be one
  • SparkleDevon - May 20, 2012 11:51 a.m.

there's two cables attached. one to the left, one tot he right. the left one is a 3DS charge cable. :3

am I the only one who likes the placement of the sticks?
  • TheMariner - May 21, 2012 11:15 a.m.

No. I'm right there with you.
  • masterjoe123 - May 19, 2012 7:27 p.m.

This looks awesome. I can't wait to play whatever masterpieces Nintendo has lined up for this console. Hoping for Super Smash Bros. 4
  • gmcb2011 - May 20, 2012 9:45 a.m.

You know last year (when they revealed this) they said there would be Smash Bros for this and 3DS, and they'd be compatible in some way, right?
  • MisterFish - May 19, 2012 5:48 p.m.

There are two additional squares on the revised controller: the one on the left that was highlighted in the article, but also one between the power button and battery light in the lower-right.

Very Curious, nice to see full analogs. So does that mean the name is fully branded as Wii U? Nintendo will really need to prove to people that Wii U wont follow Wii's mistakes. You guys are kinda overexaggerating the Analogs, i mean the left is perfectly Normal, the right is what is throwing you off but who knows, you guys havnt tried it yet and there still needs to be games to show us how the control scheme works.
  • LEGOMatrix - May 19, 2012 4:02 p.m.

I hate both the asymmetry of the 360 controller, and the low analogue sticks of the PS3 controller. Until I try this new configuration, I'm gonna hazard a guess and assume it works ok.
  • jenovalife1 - May 19, 2012 3:46 p.m.

better have some kickass games and online support. also: analog sticks go UNDER the buttons not over.
  • samsneeze - May 19, 2012 3:49 p.m.

Or to the side. Just saying.
  • lewis-barclay - May 19, 2012 5:37 p.m.

    good point
  • FETALJUICE - May 19, 2012 3:12 p.m.

Goddamn, that controller STILL looks uncomfortable to use. Why anyone would place the analog sticks ABOVE the buttons is beyond me, but it is an incredibly dumb move.
  • shawksta - May 19, 2012 4:18 p.m.

Have you seen or used the actual controller? Did you know there's a bump in the backside where you can place your hands under to feel comfortable? The Back of it isnt fully flat you know.
  • Redeater - May 19, 2012 4:21 p.m.

Tell me about it. Go to your controller right now and pretend to use it and switch between stick and buttons. It seriously screws with your head. It feels like the classic Gamecube Megaman A-B button fiasco.
  • Squander - May 19, 2012 3:05 p.m.

    this might prove that Nintendo is not planning to re-name the console... oh how much I wished they actually did ;_;
  • tehtimeisnow - May 19, 2012 2:34 p.m.
