Resident Evil 4 HD launch trailer has some good things on sale, stranger

Know why this launch trailer for Resident Evil 4 quotes GamesRadar as calling RE4 “one of the best games out there”? Because it's damn well true. Take a look at the clip and see if Capcom can persuade you to return once more to what we called a “visually stunning theme park of violence” in our original Game Cube review.

RE4: HD launches today on PSN and XBLA, with an HD upgrade of series spinoff Code Veronica to come on the 27th. RE4 veterans may have had their fill – particularly of the game's visuals, which don't receive the upgrade they could have for this re-issue – but newcomers can weigh up 2007's superlative Wii conversion against this $20 offering. Find out what we thought about how Resident Evil 4 feels the second time around by visiting our Resident Evil 4 HD review.

It truly is an amazing game, but I think for the $20 they are asking for, they should have added SOMETHING new to it. Even if it was just another Mercenaries map, or a hardcore mode like Dead Space 2 (no checkpoints, only 3 saves). And truthfully, after playing the Wiimake, I don't think I could ever go back to playing it with a standard controller. The shooting mechanics on the Wii version were just so damn tight. I think I'll stick with what I've got, and take gameplay over graphics.

Really? I mean, these graphics aren't much improved over the wii's, but I'd rather play this BECAUSE it'd use a controller. It was nice being able to point at what i wanted to shoot, but it was so difficult to turn around, and the amount of times I found myself aiming off the edge of the screen because the sensor's so crap was unbelievable. The only part that consistently worked well was the sniper scope, and that used the nunchuck's analogue stick.

For 6 quid but... Bargain really. Could have done with at least a platinum, if not a new area, better graphics or some sort of addition.
