One of these bad boys is set to be the second confirmed racer for Project Gotham Racing 4. The first, of course, is the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano as revealed in the trailer. However, Peugeot, who runs an annual car design competition, have drawn up a shortlist of ten entries - and the winner will have a playable version of their idea in Bizarre Creations’ top racer, plus Peugeot will make a life size model to be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. So when the new Project Gotham Racing game arrives later this year, you’ll be able to get behind the wheel of one of these fantastic-looking creations.
Our favorite? Well, the 360 themed one of course - we love the idea of French engineers desperately trying to create a car out of something that replaces traditional “wheels” with “balls.” Have a look and tell us what you think - these also hint at a slew of original concept cars to feature in the game.
Hard PGR4 facts remain frustratingly thin on the ground even though the game is deep into development. The last studio update reveals that the mystical, fantasy style of the original trailer isn’t “representative of what we’ve got planned for the style or locations in the game itself. You won’t see outer space racing or anything like that.” Phew. The biggest news is this intriguing snippet though: “We have changed our design emphasis slightly from previous titles... I think we’re going to surprise a few people with PGR4.” Hopefully, we’ll have some concrete details soon.
