What you see in the gallery above are 32 allegedly leaked pieces of concept art from Half-Life 2: Episode 3. The images were supposedly created in 2008 and would have shaped the look of Episode 3 - the third episodic add-on to Half-Life 2 that never emerged from Valve.

Obviously, the content of the images is somewhat spoilerific, but does seem to show Alyx wearing her dead father's clothes. Which is a bit morbid and weird if you ask us. But we still love her.

Even if the images are real, they're quite old now so there's no guarantee whatever the next Half-Life instalment comes from Valve will contain anything even vaguely related to the scenes shown in these pictures. Still, it's the biggest Half-Life news since The Orange Box, and, assuming it is real, could give us our first insight into what Half-Life 3 contains.

What do you make of it? Let us know in the comments.

I swear, the gallery view is the most schizophrenic thing. One day it works for me...the next it doesn't. Like today.

Can't say that I'm very fond of the way Alyx looks there. Her hair colouring's the only things that makes me believe it's her.

Bullshit Bullshit Bullshit Bullshit bullshit. No chance these are anything at all related to EP3. A Valve time logo? Really? Get real. Wait patiently like the rest of us- don't feed some internet troll looking for some internet fame.

Valve time is the watermark from the site they got it from what's your beef exactly? Anyway; I've been exhausted by this wait It's nice to know that of course their doing something but if the art is that old it is probably irrelevant by now especially if you compare the initial design of HL2 to the finish product, HL2e3 could by a kart racer by now!

I have no opinion one way or another if they are real (I could care less. I have no interest in the series at all.), but why are you so positive they are "Bullshit Bullshit Bullshit Bullshit bullshit."? Just think they are bullshit because god forbid something about this would actually leak 4 years after they were reportedly made? How about some legitimate opinion on why anything presented here can't be real?

This is exciting. I've been waiting for so long to hear about Episode 3. As far as I see in these new pics, their helicopter crashes for some reasons, so how is that spoiler? And it sucks that we don't see Gordon, but I guess Alyx is going to be the center of the story, or she's going to be an even bigger part of it. That being said, I say her wearing her dad's hold vest is not morbid, but significant. She stepping up as the leader of the Resistance, and since the Combine's killed her dad, she's going to be even more aggressive and willful in finding whatever's on the Borealis (We already know what is because of Portal 2). All in all, whatever Valve musters up for us is going to be awesome and has to make up for all the years its taken to develop this ONE EPISODE.

I don't like the look of the corn husk monster in #19.

Do people really need a spoiler warning for a game that isn't even announced?

The only issue I have is that Alyx doesn't look like Alyx in most of these. They're probably fake, so it doesn't really matter, but it's good artwork still, so it bothers me, haha.

I heard they have been confirmed by Valve as genuine, but old. Not sure of the circumstances of the leak, so whether these are relevant is up for debate.
