Nintendo Direct on June 11 will cover Smash Bros, new 3D Mario
Updates on future Wii U games coming June 11
The next Nintendo Direct is coming on June 11 at 7 a.m. PST, 3 p.m. BST. That's right before the LA Convention Center opens for the first day of E3, and Nintendo will make up for its press conference no-show with some big announcements.
#IwataSays We will discuss new Smash Bros., 3D Mario game, Mario Kart and other Wii U titles in our #NintendoDirectNA before the start of E3May 17, 2013
This could be the Direct to end all Directs, as Nintendo tries to grab mindshare from consumers worldwide outside of the media-centric venue. That said, the company will still have a presence on the show floor.
Non-media folks can also get their hands on playable E3 demos set up at Best Buy stores across North America.

Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
