The stone effect on the paint is impressive - talk us through the process of achieving that.
Stokes: The Wii’s reflective finish was a concern because paints will never stick to it for long. After dismantling the Wii I had to sand each panel and button to the plastic. It was then primed and sanded three more times before base colors and textures were added. I wanted a finish that would last, and look as though it came from the factory. Out of respect to its new owner I can’t give the exact how-to details, because I’d like them to have a one-of-a-kind for as long as possible. Several densities of paint and multiple metallic grays and blacks were used for the final look.

Stokes: I’ve been floored by the worldwide coverage it’s received. The eBay ad got over 80,000 views from 35 countries. When I Googled “zelda wii mod” I found over six pages of reviews. I even made it onto a popular technology show in the States.
