Mario Nintendo

He's been trolling here for ages, surprised he's not been banned to be honest. Anyway, don't feed the troll, he lives on our attention.
  • Moshua8D - June 23, 2014 12:53 p.m.

Funny thing is, this wasn't a troll.
  • musashi1596 - April 22, 2012 7:05 p.m.

Oh look, yet another Mario title. Bet nobody saw that coming. *Yawn*
  • kxu - April 22, 2012 2:30 p.m.

    2D again Sr.Nintendo ???

I prefer Cape feather to super leaf, but oh well. Let's hope this plays well. Never played the original DS version, only the Wii version. ohyeahandnintendoanychanceofmother3comingtoamericaon3dsthat'dbegreatmaybebundleitwithearthboundi'dtotallybuyit.

comment cut-off -dleitwithearthboundthat'dbegreat But still, NSMB2 seems interesting. Gold Metal Mario?
  • Lindsaaayerin - April 22, 2012 7:43 a.m.

I guess I'm one of the few people who is happy to hear this news. Raccoon Mario with a P-meter!! I just played the hell out of Super Mario 3D Land then signed on to see this. I'm just a sap for Mario games...
  • CitizenWolfie - April 22, 2012 2:56 a.m.

I did enjoy NSMBDS but it was really, really easy. And like a lot of other people commenting on this page, I'm not a huge fan of the 3D polygon models and would rather see a return of the 2D sprites as they have a lot more charm. But I guess the polygon route makes it easier to implement the 3D aspect. I hope this one has more of an "Overworld" instead of just a straight line with the occasional double path.
  • Fuzunga - April 21, 2012 11:44 p.m.

The 3D models and environments are an instant turnoff. I want Mario to look like Rayman Origins. Oh goodness that would be nice.
  • PReNDeL21 - April 21, 2012 5:18 p.m.

A new NSMB was kinda unexpected, especially since it was announced this short of time between the release date. Nintendo will probably pull a M. Night Shayamalan on us at E3
  • badgraphix1 - April 22, 2012 7:42 a.m.

It's New Super Mario Bros. I don't think we're going to see anything we couldn't already predict come this year's E3.
  • IceBlueKirby - April 21, 2012 5:15 p.m.

This is awesome news. I'll take a new Mario sidescroller any day, regardless of whether it does anything new or not. A little nostalgia goes a long way for some people.
  • BladedFalcon - April 21, 2012 8:48 p.m.

Except it's not even proper nostalgia product, otherwise it would be in 2d sprites and not those yawn inducing polygons.
  • IceBlueKirby - April 22, 2012 1:16 a.m.

Eh, it's the gameplay that matters in that department, not the sprites. If it plays like an old Mario game, I don't care how it looks.
  • Redeater - April 21, 2012 2:27 p.m.

"question if it can meet the incredibly high standards of the Mario series" I'm sorry but this makes me laugh.I have been waiting forever for a new Mario game that will top 3/World and have yet to see one. Instead Nintendo has given us not one but two 2D Mario games that have failed to do anything spectacular. Nintendo is going to have to convince me with something more than a raccoon tail if they are going to get me to bite.
  • Redeater - April 21, 2012 2:29 p.m.

I do find it funny that after looking at a few of these pictures it crosses out quite a bit of the "What we want to see in SMB4" list. Dammit Nintendo! Don't go Sega on me.
  • shawksta - April 21, 2012 3:55 p.m.

3 if you count the Wii version which for something reason isnt counted for, Somethings odd about this especially if THIS is 4, which i have my doubts about. NSMB, if anything just game us Modern 2D Mario, it felt good but isnt better than SM3 or World by a long shot, hopefully some day they'll go back to the 2D days, otherwise they are doing an excellent job with 3D Mario.
