New look at Eureka Seven

[PS2] New screens show off transforming robot-tank action

The first game adaptation ofAdultSwimanime series Eureka Seven surfs into stores this fall, and we've got new screens of its giant robots (called LFOs, or Light Finding Operations, for whatever bizarre reason). The game, titled Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave, follows a government agent/LFO pilot named Sumner Sturgeon through an adventure that takes place before the anime series.

The New Wave promises plenty of robot customization, hoverboard tricks and mecha battles, although the new shots mostly show LFO beatdowns and tank transformations. To check them out, just hit the Images tab above.

After graduating from college in 2000 with a BA in journalism, I worked for five years as a copy editor, page designer and videogame-review columnist at a couple of mid-sized newspapers you've never heard of. My column eventually got me a freelancing gig with GMR magazine, which folded a few months later. I was hired on full-time by GamesRadar in late 2005, and have since been paid actual money to write silly articles about lovable blobs.
